The AM-TTC association has preliminary awarded the newly founded Swiss Photonics Integration Technology Center (Swiss PITC) with funding for a period of six years, i. e. from 2023-2028. The final decision will be made in Q4, 2022. Swiss PITC is now looking for a CEO to build the center according to his/her vision in alignment with the board and to bring the Center from funding agreement to operation with the goal to achieve international excellence level
Swiss Photonics Integration Technology Center
With the ever-increasing demand of photonic systems in existing and future markets including optical communications, sensing, quantum computing, autonomous driving, AI, AR/VR, medical, and many others, the complexity of photonic packaging is also increasing. The Swiss Photonics Integration Technology Center will provide precision assembly and packaging solutions for photonics systems. The complete packaging offering - including optical, electrical, thermal and mechanical technology – will ensure a controlled interfacing of photonic systems with the environment. The photonics packaging center will offer highest standards in terms of quality and precision and provides customers with packaging services covering prototyping as well as small series production. The center will invest in qualified industrialized processes, high-tech machinery, and operates a qualified piloting and production line over time, located in Park Innovare in Villigen
